Death is the one appointment we cannot manipulate, change, or cancel. It awaits us all, lingering in the shadows of our existence. Yet, it remains a topic we often avoid, shrouded in discomfort and fear. Much of our lives are spent steering clear of the subject altogether, as if by ignoring it, we might somehow escape its inevitable grasp. This avoidance shapes our behaviors, decisions, and even our interactions with others. It creates an unspoken barrier that isolates us from this fundamental aspect of being human. By evading discussions of death, we miss chances to gain deeper insights into our lives, our relationships, and our purpose. Embracing the reality of death could lead us to live more intentionally, appreciating the fleeting nature of time and the preciousness of our moments.
